The Composition of the Crucifixion
This artwork, dating from 1520, presents a somber and emotionally charged scene of the Crucifixion. The composition is structured in a pyramidal form, with Christ positioned at the apex of the cross against a detailed landscape. In the foreground, several figures are gathered: Mary, a figure supporting the body of what appears to be St. John, and another figure draped in red.
