The right hand of Saint Peter reaches outward, fingers poised in a quiet benediction. He sits in serene repose, his weight anchored by the heavy volume of a book held in his left hand. Beneath this movement, a man kneels. This donor, stripped of name but full of intent, bows his head in the shadow of the first Pope.
