In Le Bain Turc, the human form loses its soft continuity, replaced by angular shapes that overlap within a shallow, crowded space. Figures exist as a collection of geometric fragments, their torsos and limbs deconstructed through a Cubist lens. There is no single perspective here; instead, multiple viewpoints collide on a single surface. The skin is not smooth but composed of hatching and cross-hatching, lines that build volume without the use of traditional shading. These meticulous marks create a sense of texture, suggesting the weight of limbs and the depth of a pool through nothing more than repetitive, rhythmic strokes.
