The peace negotiations between Claudius Civilis and Cerealis. The commanders are approaching each other on a partially destroyed bridge over a river outside a city. Twelfth performance in a series of twelve scenes of the Batavier rebellion against the Romans (SK-A-421/432), purchased by the States General in 1613.
