Paolo de Matteis (1662-1728) was a prominent Italian Baroque painter known for elegant frescoes, altarpieces & decorative schemes in Naples, Rome & Paris. Transitioned from dramatic Baroque to Rocaille styles. Influenced by Luca Giordano.
