Using commercial technologies in unexpected biomorphic ways, Andrea invokes a variety of references: bioluminescent sea life, cellular structures, discos, rock concerts with light shows, sci-fi space films, and alien life forms. These light sculptures writhe and stretch creating a rhythmic, seductive, and intriguing environment. Here we see a section of the exhibition, where, mounted on the wall is a mess of wires, hard drives, and glowing computer indicators. It resembles some sort of iconography for worship, or a strange alien animal.
