Crocetti Museum (Rome, Italy)

Explore the captivating artistic world of Venanzo Crocetti at Rome's Crocetti Museum! Admire over 100 sculptures & paintings from his prolific career, housed in his former studio – a unique glimpse into Italian art history.

In 1940, Crocetti created a bronze Man’s Head destined to be presented, in 1943, at the IV Quadriennale in Rome. The same sculpture was bought by the Ministry of Education, which offered ten thousand lire to assign the work to the National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, where it is currently preserved (n. inv. 3473; Venturoli 1972, fig. 18). Of this work, there is a second merger at the Museum Crocetti, on permanent display since the opening year.
