The Musée Dobrée is a museum in Nantes, in the quartier Graslin in the immediate outskirts of the city centre and very close to the city's Natural History Museum. It was given to the city by Thomas Dobrée and now belongs to the Conseil général de la Loire-Atlantique. In January 2010, the Conseil général began a project to restructure and modernise the museum, which is planned for completion in 2015.

The Musée de la Faïence de Marseille is a museum in southern Marseille, France, dedicated to faience, a type of pottery. It opened to the public in June 1995 in the Château Pastré at 157, avenue de Montredon 13008 Marseille. It is planned to transfer the faience museum to the Château Borély, which will also hold the planned Museum of Decorative Arts and Fashion, as part of preparations for Marseille becoming the European cultural capital in 2013.The museum is housed in the magnificent nineteenth century building named after its former owner Eugène Pastré . The chateau is at the end of a long avenue in the 120 hectares Campagne Pastré park, owned by the city of Marseille.

The Marseille History Museum is the local historical and archaeological museum of Marseille in France. It was opened in 1983, the first town historical museum in France, to display the major archaeological finds discovered when the site was excavated in 1967 for commercial redevelopment and the construction of the Centre de la Bourse shopping centre. The museum building, which is entered from within the centre, opens onto the "jardin des vestiges", a garden containing the stabilised archaeological remains of classical ramparts, port buildings, a necropolis and so on.

The Museum of the History of Medicine is a medical museum in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, France. It is located at 12 rue de l'École de Médecine, on the second floor of the historic École de Chirurgie . Since 1971 the headquarters of Paris Descartes University have been located in the former premises of the Medical School founded in 1803 and situated in the buildings of the Academy of Surgery. The Museum of the History of Medicine is housed on the second floor of the building, in a room built in 1905. Its collections, the oldest in Europe, were put together by the dean Lafaye in the 18th century, then a considerable collection of pieces covering the different branches of operating art until the end of the 19th century was added. One can also discover several rare medical and surgical bags as well as physiology tools.

Das Musée d’Art moderne et contemporain de Strasbourg ist ein 1973 gegründetes und 1998 in einem eigenen Gebäude eröffnetes Kunstmuseum in Straßburg. Das Museum beherbergt umfangreiche Sammlungen von Malerei, Plastik, Grafik, Videokunst und Design aus der Zeit von 1870 bis heute sowie eine reich bestückte Photothek; insgesamt über 17.500 Gegenstände. Es veranstaltet jährlich zahlreiche Ausstellungen, die entweder der Werkschau eines bestimmten Künstlers oder der Retrospektive einer Strömung gewidmet sind. Im Gebäude befinden sich ebenfalls die Kunstbibliothek der städtischen Museen , die Kunstbuchhandlung der städtischen Museen sowie ein Mehrzwecksaal für Konferenzen, Filmvorführungen und Konzerte. Die weitläufige Dachterrasse beherbergt ein Museumscafé.
