Das Münster Zur Schönen Unserer Lieben Frau oder Liebfrauenmünster ist eine katholische Pfarrkirche in Ingolstadt in der bayerischen Diözese Eichstätt. Auffällig ist die Übereckstellung der beiden unvollendet gebliebenen Türme der spätgotischen Hallenkirche des 15. Jahrhunderts. Die Bezeichnung Münster bezieht sich nicht auf eine Funktion als Klosterkirche, sondern auf ihre Größe.
Das Hôtel des Invalides in Paris ist ein ursprünglich unter der Bezeichnung Hôtel royal des Invalides im Auftrag von König Ludwig XIV. in den Jahren von 1670 bis 1676 nach den Plänen der Architekten Libéral Bruant und Jules Hardouin-Mansart errichtetes Heim für kriegsversehrte, berufsunfähige Soldaten. Heute wird es geführt von der Institution nationale des Invalides und beherbergt mehrere Museen, darunter das bedeutende Musée de l’Armée, sowie im Invalidendom die Grabstätten Kaiser Napoleons I. und weiterer hoher Militärs.
Das Lentos Kunstmuseum Linz ist ein Museum der Avantgarde in Linz. Als Nachfolgeinstitution der Neuen Galerie der Stadt Linz zählt es zu den wichtigsten Museen moderner und zeitgenössischer Kunst in Österreich. Das 130 Meter lange, international beachtete Bauwerk verfügt über rund 8000 m² Nutzfläche und liegt direkt an der Donau zwischen Nibelungenbrücke und Brucknerhaus. Sein Erscheinungsbild wird weithin durch eine transparente, nachts beleuchtete Glashülle geprägt. An der Westseite des Erdgeschoßes befindet sich ein Café-Restaurant.
Der Name Lentos leitet sich vom keltischen Wort lentos ab, das wahrscheinlich der ursprüngliche Name für Linz war .
Das Lehmbruck-Museum ist ein öffentliches Museum in Duisburg mit Schwerpunkt auf dem Werk des Bildhauers Wilhelm Lehmbruck . Es verfügt des Weiteren über eine Sammlung internationaler Skulptur der Moderne und Skulpturen, Plastik und Malerei des deutschen Expressionismus. Das Museum liegt im städtischen Immanuel-Kant-Park und ist von einem öffentlich zugänglichen Skulpturengarten mit über 40 Freiluftskulpturen umgeben.

Larne Museum and Arts Centre is a local museum based in Larne, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
Built in 1905, this historic building opened its doors to the public in 1906 as the Carnegie Free Library, following financial assistance from the American millionaire and philanthropist Mr Andrew Carnegie. The library was built at a cost of £2500 and was officially opened on 2 April 1906 by Colonel J M McCalmont, M.P. The library eventually moved to larger premises on Pound Street in July 1980 at a cost of £205,000.
Larne Historical Centre first opened in the Reading Room of the Carnegie Public Library in 1972 following a campaign by local people for a museum which led to a grant of £300 from Larne Borough Council. In 1976 the Centre moved to the ground floor of the McGarel Town Hall before returning to the old Carnegie Library building in June 1983.
In 2005, to commemorate its centenary year, the building was restored and renovated, retaining many of its original features. The building is also now home to Larne Drama Circle and Larne Art Club.
The Main Gallery hosts permanent displays reflecting the agricultural, industrial, military and maritime history of the area. Larne is a principal gateway into Northern Ireland and the strong maritime links of this east Antrim coastal community are portrayed through a variety of exhibits relating to the first roll-on, roll-off ferries, the Royal Navy and the MV Princess Victoria disaster. Larne’s rural hinterland, which includes two of the nine Glens of Antrim, is well represented in the museum’s folk life display. The War and Conflict section hosts objects from the Home Rule Crisis, Larne Gun Running and the First and Second World Wars. Visitors can access accounts and memories of local people through oral history listening posts and can browse through photographs in a digital community archive.
The ‘John Clifford Gallery’ plays host to a variety of temporary exhibitions throughout the year. There are also a series of family events at the centre.The temporary exhibitions gallery has been named after John Clifford, the first curator of the museum. John was a local actor, poet and musician. He left Larne in 1937 to take up a civil service post in London where he became a professional actor. He returned to live in Larne in 1967 soon taking on the role of librarian in Carnegie Library. Due to his love of local history, John became a founding member and Chairman of Larne & District Folklore Society which formed in 1968. The society helped in the campaign for a local museum which led to John becoming the first curator of Larne Historical Centre.
The museum is managed by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, and forms part of the Mid-Antrim Heritage Partnership alongside similar local museums in Ballymena, Carrickfergus and Newtownabbey.

Bevor es im Jahr 2002 nach St. Pölten übersiedelte, hatte das Museum, das im Jahr 1902 vom Verein für Landeskunde gegründet wurde, einige Standorte in Wien. So war es in der Zeit von 1912 bis 1923 in der Wallnerstraße und von 1923 bis 1997 im Palais Mollard-Clary untergebracht. Durch die Entstehung der neuen Landeshauptstadt in St. Pölten wurde das Landesmuseum in den dortigen Kulturbezirk verlegt.

Lambeth Archives is an archive in South London, managed by the London Borough of Lambeth. Containing records of Lambeth businesses, organisations and individuals, it is housed at the Minet Library on Knatchbull Road. The archive holds various documents for tracing family history, including parish records, electoral registers, civil registers, census returns, poll books, cemetery records, trade and commercial directories, and historic newspapers. The archive is open to the public free of charge.
The Lakeview Museum of Arts and Sciences was a public museum of science and culture located in Peoria, Illinois. It opened in 1965, and contained a planetarium that opened in 1963. The 36-foot planetarium was set as the sun in the largest to scale mock solar system as recognized the Guinness Book of Records in 1992. It was closed in September 2012, shortly before the Peoria Riverfront Museum, of which Lakeview Museum's organizations were participants, opened in downtown Peoria.
Die Burg von Manta, italienisch Castello della Manta, ist eine Burg oberhalb der Gemeinde Manta bei Saluzzo im Piemont.
1175 wurde Manta Lehen der Markgrafschaft Saluzzo. Markgraf Tommaso I. baute auf den Fundamenten einer älteren Festung eine Burg, die mit den Burgen von Revello, Verzuolo, Costigliole und Busca, eine Verteidigungslinie entlang des Fußes der Alpen bildete.
Die Burg wurde 1370 von Markgraf Tommaso III. gotisch ausgebaut und 1416 an seinen illegitimen Sohn Valerano del Vasto vererbt dessen Familie die Burg auch über das Ende der Markgrafschaft Saluzzo behielt. 1587 wurde die Burg schlossartig umgebaut. 1793 starb der letzte Nachkomme des Valerano, danach verfiel die Burg. 1860 wurden die äußeren Wehranlagen abgebrochen. 1984 übernahm der FAI die Anlage und begann eine vorbildliche Restaurierung.

The house was built for oil tycoon, and Rockefeller family patriarch John D. Rockefeller. Conceived largely by his son, John D. Rockefeller, Jr., and enriched by the art collection of the third-generation scion, Governor of New York, and Vice President of the United States, Nelson Rockefeller, it was home to four generations of the family. The house is a National Historic Landmark owned by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and tours are given by Historic Hudson Valley.
