Derby DAR-bee) is a city and unitary authority area in Derbyshire, England. It lies on the banks of the River Derwent in the south of Derbyshire, of which it was traditionally the county town. Derby gained city status in 1977, and by the 2011 census its population was 248,700. Derby was settled by Romans – who established the town of Derventio – Saxons and Vikings, who made Derby one of the Five Boroughs of the Danelaw. Initially a market town, Derby grew rapidly in the industrial era. Home to Lombe's Mill, an early British factory, Derby has a claim to be one of the birthplaces of the Industrial Revolution. It contains the southern part of the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. With the arrival of the railways in the 19th century, Derby became a centre of the British rail industry. Derby is a centre for advanced transport manufacturing, being home to the world's second largest aero-engine manufacturer: Rolls-Royce. Bombardier Transportation are based at the Derby Litchurch Lane Works and were for many years the UK's only train manufacturers. Toyota Manufacturing UK's automobile headquarters is southwest of the city at Burnaston. To the east lies Nottingham, separated by the M1 motorway.

Hirschsprung & Sønner, située à Copenhague, Hirschsprung lègue en 1902 sa collection privée au gouvernement du Danemark. Celle-ci comprend de nombreux tableaux de l'art danois du XIXe siècle, notamment des peintures de l'âge d'or danois mais également des peintres de Skagen.

Wycombe Museum is a free local museum located in the town of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England. It is run by Wycombe Heritage and Arts Trust, as of 1 December 2016. It was previously run by Wycombe District Council. The museum is located in Castle Hill House on Priory Avenue. It is situated in an 18th-century house on a medieval site, and surrounding the museum are Victorian gardens. The museum presents exhibitions the history of the local area, including the furniture industry, especially chair-making. There are also displays of Windsor chairs, lace, art and natural history.

Il se situe au 1, via Miano, à l'intérieur du parc homonyme, dans un édifice nommé Reggia di Capodimonte, édifié pour Charles de Bourbon, roi de Naples par l'architecte romain Antonio Canevari . Il abrite des galeries d'art ancien, une d'art contemporain et un appartement historique. C'est d'abord une pinacothèque qui conserve et expose des œuvres, entre autres, de Giovanni Bellini, Sandro Botticelli, Le Caravage, Parmiggiano, Luca Giordano, Annibale Carracci, Artemisia Gentileschi, Francisco Goya, Simone Martini, Masaccio, Titien, Le Greco… On y trouve également une grande collection de céramiques et de majoliques, et, à l'extérieur, un jardin botanique et le pavillon de chasse originel. Il compte une centaine de salles et est l'un des plus grands musées d'Italie.

Les Hospices de Beaune ou Hôtel-Dieu de Beaune est un Hôtel-Dieu / Hospices de style gothique flamboyant avec toiture en tuile vernissée de Bourgogne, fondé au XVe siècle par le chancelier des ducs de Bourgogne Nicolas Rolin et son épouse Guigone de Salins, à Beaune en Bourgogne. Il est un des plus célèbres du monde, tant par sa fastueuse et remarquable architecture traditionnelle bourguignonne que par son prestigieux domaine viticole bourguignon dont la production est historiquement vendue aux enchères pour financer son fonctionnement, sous le nom de vente des hospices de Beaune. Actif jusque dans les années 1960, classé aux monuments historiques depuis 1862, il est à ce jour un musée d'histoire de la médecine et expose entre autres le polyptyque Le Jugement dernier de Rogier van der Weyden.

The museum was founded in 1912 as the Wilmington Society of the Fine Arts in honor of the artist Howard Pyle. The collection focuses on American art and illustration from the 19th to the 21st century, and on the English Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood movement of the mid-19th century.
