Städel Museum

The Städel Museum, officially the Städelsches Kunstinstitut und Städtische Galerie, is an art museum in Frankfurt, with one of the most important collections in Germany. The Städel Museum owns 3,100 paintings, 660 sculptures, more than 4,600 photographs and more than 100,000 drawings and prints. It has around 4,000 m² of display and a library of 115,000 books. The Städel was honoured as "Museum of the Year 2012" by the German art critics association AICA in 2012. In the same year the museum recorded the highest attendance figures in its history, of 447,395 visitors.

Liebieghaus

The Liebieghaus is a late 19th-century villa in Frankfurt, Germany. It contains a sculpture museum, the Städtische Galerie Liebieghaus, which is part of the Museumsufer on the Sachsenhausen bank of the River Main. Max Hollein has been the director of the Städel Museum since January 2006.

Goethe House

The Goethe House is a writer's house museum in the Innenstadt district of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. It is a birthplace of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Decorated with period furniture and paintings, it provides an authentic environment in which Goethe spent his youth. It is also a place where Goethe wrote his famous works Götz von Berlichingen, Faust and The Sorrows of Young Werther.

Historical Museum, Frankfurt

The Historical Museum in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, was founded in 1878, and includes cultural and historical objects relating to the history of Frankfurt and Germany. It moved into the Saalhof in 1955, and a new extension was opened in 1972. The 1970s extension is currently being replaced by a modern new exhibition building and a small administration building which are expected to be completed by 2015.
