フィラデルフィア（英語: Philadelphia）は、アメリカ合衆国ペンシルベニア州南東部にある都市。同州の最大都市かつ北米有数の世界都市である。市内の人口は156万7442人（2015年推計）で全米第5位。 名門のペンシルベニア大学や工学系に強いドレクセル大学、日本にもキャンパスを置く州立大学のテンプル大学を抱える学術都市である。市内に約12万人、都市圏全体で約30万人と、全米で最も多くの学生を持つ都市のひとつである。 漢字の当て字和名は費拉特費、また短縮して費府。 なお、フィラデルフィア都市圏の治安は概ね良好であるが、デラウェア川の対岸にあるニュージャージー州カムデンは、デトロイトやセントルイスなどと並んで、全米で最も危険な都市のひとつとされる。 独立記念館や自由の鐘があり、近郊にはバレーフォージがある合衆国建国ゆかりの地である。

バーンズ・コレクション

バーンズ・コレクション は、アメリカ合衆国フィラデルフィア郊外ローワー・メリオンにある美術財団のバーンズ財団 が所蔵する美術作品コレクションである。美術コレクターであり、美術研究者であったアルバート・C・バーンズ が収集したフランス近代絵画2,500点以上を擁する個人コレクションが財団によって所蔵・管理されている。所蔵コレクションの展示施設のフィラデルフィア中心部への移転により、2012年に財団による美術館が開館している。

Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial

Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial, also known as Church of the Evangelists and St. Martin's College for Indigent Boys, is a set of four buildings with a history that unites idealism or religious beliefs, service to the poor, and art. Formerly an Episcopal church in the working-class Bella Vista neighborhood of South Philadelphia, it is best known as the home of the Graphic Sketch Club founded by Samuel S. Fleisher, which offers free art lessons to children and adults. The four buildings include a campanile built in 1857, a basilica built 1884-1886, St. Martin's College built in 1906, and two rowhouses built in the 1850s. Since Fleisher's death in 1944, his trust, which owns the buildings, has been administered by the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The Art Memorial was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and is located at 711-721 Catharine St. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

La Salle University Art Museum

The La Salle University Art Museum is located in the basement of Olney Hall at La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The museum features six galleries. Collections include European and American art from the Renaissance to the present. Special collections including paper, Japanese prints, rare illustrated Bibles, Indian miniatures, African carvings and implements, Pre-Columbian pottery and Ancient Greek ceramics. Changing exhibits are held of historic and contemporary art drawn from the collections and from outside collections.

Rosenbach Museum and Library

The Rosenbach is located within two 19th-century townhouses at 2008 and 2010 Delancey Place in Philadelphia. The historic houses contain the collections and treasures of Philip Rosenbach and his younger brother Dr. A. S. W. Rosenbach. The brothers owned the Rosenbach Company which became the preeminent dealer of rare books, manuscripts and decorative arts during the first half of the 20th century. Dr. Rosenbach in particular was seminal in the rare book world, helping to build libraries such as the Widener Library at Harvard, The Huntington Library and the Folger Shakespeare Library. In 2013, the Rosenbach became a subsidiary of the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation, but maintains its own board and operates independently of the public library system.The Rosenbach documents a panorama of American and European culture through its vast historical, literary and artistic treasures.
