Ponteranica / Italy

Ponteranica is a comune in the Province of Bergamo in the Italian region of Lombardy, located about 50 kilometres northeast of Milan and about 4 kilometres northwest of Bergamo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,866 and an area of 8.4 square kilometres .Ponteranica borders the following municipalities: Alzano Lombardo, Bergamo, Ranica, Sorisole, Torre Boldone, Zogno. A part of its surface is occupied by Maresana Hill. The source of Morla is in Ponteranica. Part of Ponteranica's territory belongs of Parco dei Colli di Bergamo
