The Prešov Region, also Priashiv Region is one of the eight Slovak administrative regions and consists of 13 districts and 666 municipalities, from which 23 have a town status. The region was established in 1996 and is the most populous of all the regions in the country. Its administrative center is the city of Prešov.

Prešov , Hungarian: Eperjes, German: Eperies, Preschau, Rusyn: Пряшів/Priashiv) is a city in Eastern Slovakia. It is a seat of the administrative Prešov Region and Šariš as well as the historic Sáros County of the Kingdom of Hungary. With a population of approximately 89,000, it is the third-largest city in Slovakia. It lends its name to the Eperjes-Tokaj Hill-Chain. There are many tourist attractions in Prešov such as castles, pools and the old town.
